We are an organization founded by and for emigrants from Oppdal, Norway, and their descendants. We have about 120 members. Laget is a forum for social events, genealogical research, Norwegian-American culture, and maintaining links to Oppdal in the Old Country.
Opdalslaget was first founded in 1920, persisted until the 1940s; and was then reestablished in 2002. If you have ancestors from Oppdal, live in Oppdal, or are otherwise interested in the organization's work, please contact us.

national council for Norwegian-American bygdelag.
The 7th Opdalslag Heritage Festival is scheduled for September 12-13, 2009 at Scandia Lutheran Church, Centerville, South Dakota.
